The celebration of Branson’s 50th year of live music shows as well as its 2009 season is winding down and with it, the chances to see Branson’s Christmas shows. Paul Miller, the General Manager for Branson Tourism Center, one of Branson’s largest and most respected vacation planning services and sellers of Branson show and attraction tickets and lodging, advises those wanting to see some of Branson’s more popular Christmas shows to act quickly.
In terms of Christmas shows, Miller points out that some of Branson’s most popular Christmas shows such as Andy Williams, Tony Orlando and the Lennon Sisters, The Duttons, Yakov Smirnoff, and Debby Boone will be ending their season between December 5 and the 8. Others including Dino’s Christmas Extravaganza, Spirit of Christmas, The Osmonds, Presleys’ Country Jubilee, Shoji Tabuchi and Hamner and Barber will end their Christmas shows, and for most their season, after their performances on December 12 or 13th and the Twelve Irish Tenors the same after their performance on the December 19.
He points that, although there will be a 50 percent reduction in the total number of shows available in Branson by December 19, current schedules indicate that there will still be a number of major shows open including Acrobats of China, Dixie Stampede, Baldknobbers, Magnificent Variety show, Jim Stafford, Pierce Arrow and others. “In addition,” Miller said, “most of Branson’s major attractions, including the Butterfly Palace, Titanic, and Silver Dollar City, will be open during the Christmas Season.
Miller reminds potential Branson visitors that “Ozark Mountain Christmas,” is the busiest season of the year in Branson and, particularly in these waning weeks of the season, recommends early reservations for shows to insure availability and the best seating and lodging to insure availability. For the additional details, specific scheduling information or ticketing for Branson shows or lodging assistance Miller advises contacting Branson Tourism Center by calling 800-785-1550 or through its website www.BransonTourismCenter.com.
