There is no better way to celebrate New Year’s Eve than in Branson


The color and excitment of the High Unicycles from the Acrobats of China Show.

“From fireworks; spectacular drive through Christmas lighting displays; dozens of live shows, many with New Years Eve celebrations;  attractions of every type; golf, fishing and many other activities and some of the best shopping available anywhere, one would be hard pressed to find a place with more ways for individuals and families to celebrate New Year’s than in Branson, Missouri,” said Tammy Johnson, the Director of Operations for the Branson Tourism Center. “And with the beautiful unseasonable weather forecast through the weekend, highs in the 50s and 60s, what better opportunity to experience the fun and excitement of what Branson has to offer?”

The Official Branson.Com Show Schedule, powered by the Branson Tourism Center, shows that Branson’s famed live shows will be entertaining throughout New Year’s Eve Day, from 10 am to after the New Year is ushered in at Midnight. They provide a variety entertainment and include something for just about everyone. The following list is a list of those shows offered during the day or not including a “midnight,” New Years Eve celebration and is sorted by time:

Branson's Titanic Museum Attraction is just one of the many attractions that will be open over New Year's Weekend in Branson.

A full array of Branson attractions will be open, as well as Branson’s golf courses and other outdoor activities from Zip Lines to hiking and fishing. Attractions that will be open include:

The areas two major drive through Christmas Lighting displays and their millions of glittering lights, the Branson Area Festival of Lights and Shepherd of the Hill’s Trail of Lights will also be available to enjoy. One of the most unique Christmas attractions, “White Flight,” at the Butterfly and Rainforest Adventure, with its thousands of white butterflies, live statute art and much more will be open.

With the beautiful weather forecast, a cruise on Branson Landing Cruise Lines the “Lake Princess,” on Lake Taneycomo, provides a unique experience whether during a day cruise or on their special New Year’s Eve cruises. And speaking of ships, it’s always an exciting adventure when one takes a “voyage” on Branson’s Titanic Museum Attraction, but it is even more beautiful when the great ship is decked out in her Christmas splendor.

The wonderful weather will provide a great opportunity to experience the shopping for which Branson is noted and catch some of those yearend bargains. Branson Landing will be open from 11 AM to 7 PM on both December 31 and January 1; Tanger Outlets from 9 AM to 6 PM on December 31 and from 10 AM to 7:00 PM on January 1 and the Factory Merchant Mall, the Red Roof Mall, is open from 9 AM to 6 PM on December 31 and from 10 AM to 7:00 PM on January 1.

As part of its New Years Eve celebration the Chateau on the Lake has a spectacular fireworks display to welcome in the New Year. It is visible from many locations around Table Rock Dam, including the lake, the scenic overlook at State Highway 165, and other spots along State Highways 265 and 165.
