Branson Landing is a unique and special shopping experience

The "Build-A-Bear-Workshop" is but one example of the shopping and fun available for the entire family at the Branson Landing.

Millions come to Branson every year to experience all that Branson has to offer including a selection of live entertainment unsurpassed for a destination of its size; three pristine lakes; the natural beauty of the Ozarks; attractions; golfing and a number other fun and exciting activities. For many, the Branson experience includes some of the finest and most unique shopping available anywhere. Nowhere is that experience more evident than at Branson Landing.

Constructed in 2006, at a cost of about $400 million, Branson Landing is at the same time, one of Branson’s main attractions and a premier shopping destination. It is located immediately adjacent to historic downtown Branson and the Branson Convention Center, on the shores of beautiful Lake Taneycomo. With its unique promenade construction; 100 specialty retail stores, shops and restaurants; $7.5 million fire, water and light fountain show; board walk and attractions, Branson Landing hosts millions of Branson visitors annually.

“Even in a town where there is great shopping just about anywhere you turn, the unique shopping experience provided by Branson Landing stands out,” said Stephanie Milton, Director of Marketing for the Branson Tourism Center. “The combination of the number of stores, the mystique and adventure of the Landing itself, its restaurants and other activities such as “Ride the Ducks,” “Branson Landing Cruises,” the fountain show make Branson Landing not only a great place to shop, but an experience that the whole family can enjoy,” she continued.

From a fishing rod to a new dress, olive oil to candy and shoes to lingerie, sunglasses and just about everything else in between, Branson Landing has an unrivaled selection of shopping opportunities starting with its two anchor stores. Bass Pro Shops, the anchor on the southern end of Branson Landing is not only a sportsman’s shopping paradise, with a wide selection of hunting, fishing and camping merchandise, but offers a broad selection of clothing and specialty items that will appeal to everyone. Belk, its northern anchor, is a part of the Belk chain of stores and is a full service department store with a wide choice of merchandise.

Victoria's Secret is just one of many Branson Landings many apparel stores.

From one end of Branson Landing to the other, the phrase, “Shop till you drop” takes on new meaning as one considers the shopping choices available. Whether it’s the intimate apparel offered by Victoria’s Secret and the fun of a “Build-A-Bear Workshop” or “Kay Jewelers,” “Claire’s,” “Devo Olive Oil,” and stores as diversified as “Brookstone,” “Yankee Candle,” or the “Pepper Palace,” the different types of shopping available in Branson Landing are almost endless. In the area of shoes alone Branson Landing offers seven different shoe stores including “Famous Footware,” “New Balance” to “Payless Shoes” in addition to the “shoe departments” found in other stores such as Belk and Bass Pro.

Those looking to buy clothing and other apparel will certainly not be disappointed. Branson Landing’s apparel stores include “Hollister,” “Christopher & Bank” and “Bobby Chan” to “Lane Bryant, Dressbarn, “Chico’s, ” “Maurice’s,” and “Pendleton” to name a few.

The Landing has a plethora of gift and specialty shops covering everything from the quilts of “Branson Quilts” to a choice of “peppery” items from the “Pepper Palace” and so much more. Whether it’s one the largest “bags of candy” most people have ever seen in “IT’SUGUR,” getting supplements at GNC or picking up that latest gadget advertised on TV at “As Seen on TV” Branson Landing provides one of the largest and most interesting selection of specialty shops in Branson.

One of Branson's most popular restaurants, Catina Laredo is located right in the center of Branson Landing near the fountains.

You can’t shop if you’re hungry and Branson Landing is unsurpassed in Branson for the variety of cuisine it offers. Whether it’s a pretzel at “Auntie Anne’s,” a simple burger and fries at the “Fall Guys Burger Company,” a sandwich at “Subway” or a great steak sandwich at “Charley’s Grilled Subs;” a full meal at the “Texas Land and Cattle Company,” “Joe’s Crab Shack”, “Cantina Laredo” “Garfields” or one of its other many eating and snacking choices, Branson Landing has something for every taste and appetite.

Branson Tourism Center’s Milton points out that whether its shopping, walking along its board walk, dining in one of its restaurant overlooking Lake Taneycomo or the other things it provides, Branson Landing is one of those unique things that makes Branson so special.
