Major Branson area Easter Egg Hunts


BRANSON, Mo.  “Branson has something for everyone and every occasion and Easter Weekend in is no exception,” said Tammy Johnson, the Director of Operations for the Branson Tourism Center. “In addition, to all the other things Branson has for its guests to do on a daily basis, great live shows, shopping, attractions and other activities; over the Easter Weekend, there will be special Easter Services at most area churches, an Easter Celebration at Silver Dollar City and two major opportunities for families and kids to participate in a good old fashioned Easter Egg Hunt,” she continued.

The 27th Annual Hollister Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by the Hollister Area Chamber of Commerce will be held in Hollister, Mo. on Saturday, April 7. It is free with family activities starting at noon and the actual Easter Egg Hunt starting at 1PM. It is will be held at the Hollister High School football field except in case of rain where it will be held inside the Hollister Middle School.

From Noon until the Easter Egg Hunt starts, families will be able to participate in a variety of games and activities including duck pond, face painting, inflatables, clowns, balloon animals and more. Starting at 1 PM, the egg hunt begins for the thousands of eggs that will be “hidden” all over the football field. The other major Easter Egg Hunt is part of Silver Dollar City’s Easter Celebration being held April 5 -7  featuring, in addition to everything else the park offers on a daily basis, inspirational entertainment provided by “The Punches Family,” “The Petersens” and “Spoken 4 Quartet” and an Easter Egg Hunt, Silver Dollar City style. On Saturday, April 7, beginning at 9:30 AM, at “Hannah’s Ice Cream Parlor,” the rules will be explained and the Easter Bunny and other Silver Dollar City Characters will give participating park guests an “Easter Egg Bag” and the competition is on to see who can find the most eggs by 11:15 AM. At 11:30 AM, the Official Egg Count will take place at the Gazebo in the city square with “special prizes awarded.”
