Tasty Celebration Kicks Off 2014 Lake Season

BRANSON, Mo., April 21, 2014 – “What a great way for families to spend a day and enjoy great food, fun and activities including houseboat cruises,” said Tammy Johnson, the Director of Operations for the Branson Tourism Center. “The ‘Taste at the Lake’ is another wonderful example of how there is always something new, exciting and even unexpected for Branson visitors to enjoy,” she added. The event is being hosted by the Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce (TRL) on Saturday, May 3rd from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Port of Kimberling Marina.

“Bring the whole family for food, fun and cruising on Table Rock Lake,’ said the Chamber’s new Executive Director Sheila Thomas. ‘This event, sponsored by our chamber, includes activities, food and beverage tastings from local restaurants and merchants, cooking demonstrations by local chefs, a children’s area, and houseboat cruises on Table Rock Lake,’ said Thomas, adding that admission is free but there is a fee for food samplings, beverages and the houseboat cruises.

“A dozen food and beverage vendors are scheduled for the event: Baxter Country Store, Black Oak Grill, Bourbon Street Café, KC Bakery Bistro, Vino Cellars, Heritage Ranch, Cantina Laredo, Mary Jane’s Café, Three P’s, Springfield Brewing Company and Coyote’s Dockside Café. A beverage garden, provided by Wil Fischer Companies and Pepsi will feature wine, beer and soft drinks for purchase.

“Cooking demonstrations are provided by Silver Dollar City, Vino Cellars at the Lake, Baldknobbers, Cantina Laredo, Chateau on the Lake and Marco Polo show at White House Theater. Plus Springfield Brewing Company is doing craft beer demonstrations with samples available.”

The event will also include Kids’ activities with “hands-on play and Parmesan’s Pizza helping kids make their own personal pizza as part of a special kids’ meal,” and a bounce house. It will also include an opportunity to for a two hour cruise aboard a luxury houseboat. The cruises will depart at 1 PM and # PM and the houseboat is furnished by Five Star Houseboat Vacations.

“And that’s in addition to all of the Branson shows, attractions and other activities that will be going on in Branson that weekend,” Branson Tourism Center’s Johnson said. How do we compare?

When comparing prices between different web sites, please make sure you are comparing apples to apples. Most web sites display individual prices before taxes and hidden fees, which they surprise you with at the last step in the check out process. And when you see a package price on our web site, it is the total price for all people in your party (not per person).

In many cases, when comparing our price to the total price including taxes and any hidden fees that you might get charged on other web sites, our prices will be lower. To learn more and to make sure that you are getting the best deal on your Branson vacation, please call us toll-free at:
