“The Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Play,” is the enchanting story of Ozarks’ hill folk, vividly brought to life each night in Branson, Missouri! On a stage the size of a football field, you’ll witness this fascinating tale unfold as more than 90 actors and actresses; more than 20 horses, donkeys and mules; and a flock of sheep are used to tell the story depicted in Harold Bell Wright’s legendary novel, “The Shepherd of the Hills.” The action includes fist fights, gun fights, and the burning of a cabin for every performance. But it’s also a love story with a moral message that rings as true today as it did when Wright’s novel was published in 1907. Audience members will even be invited onstage at intermission to square-dance with everyone!
