When it comes to Celebrating America’s Independence with firework displays, visitors to Branson will have a variety of great choices. Branson’s fireworks will start in a special and spectacular way with the College of the Ozark’s “Honor America” celebration on June 29 and end in the same fashion with Kimberling City’s “Fireburst” on July 5. Here is a list of the five major firework displays in Branson along with contact information for each:
1. Name: 25th Honor America Celebration Place: College of the Ozarks by Lake Honor Phone: College of the Ozarks – 417-690-2212 Date/Time(s)/Comment(s): June 29, starting at 6:00 PM with Fireworks at dusk. “This old-fashioned patriotic celebration will feature music, children’s activities and a picnic… reminiscent of a patriotic celebration of yesteryear. Entertainment will feature performances by The Linger Family, the cast of Red, Hot…& Blue and the cast of “Ayo” staring the Voices of Glory. The fireworks will start at dusk after a Patriotic and concert program at 8:30 PM.
2. Name: Branson Landing 7th Annual Liberty Light Up Place: Branson Landing Town Square by Fountains Phone: Branson Landing – 417-239-3002 Date/Time(s) /Comment(s): July 3, concert by “Journey Resurrection,” at 8:00 p.m. followed by fireworks. 3. Name: Hollister’s 61st Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration Place: Historic Downing Street in Hollister Phone: City of Hollister – 417- 334- 3262 Date/Time/Comment(s): July 4 at dusk. Good Viewing Area: Along Business Hwy 65 in Historic downtown Hollister. Areas oldest fireworks display.
4. Name: Fireworks at Chateau on the Lake Place: Chateau on the Lake just north of Table Rock Dam on State Highway 165/265 Phone: Chateau on the Lake – 417-334-1161 Date/Time/Comment(s): July 4 at dusk. Easily and conveniently viewed for free from Table Rock Lake via boat or park in loop just south of new overrun floodgates on Table Rock Dam or the Chateau’s public areas.
5. Name: Fireburst Fireworks Display Place: Kimberling City Phone: Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce – 417-739-2564 Date/Time/Comment(s): July 5 at dusk. The fireworks display is choreographed to music played on FM 100.1. Good Viewing Area: Right on Route 13 in downtown Kimberling City, near Kimberling City Shopping Mall, about 6 miles south of Branson West. It can also be viewed very well from Table Rock Lake near the north end of the bridge.
Annette Wood, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Branson Tourism Center, points out that the firework displays are in addition to all the Branson shows, attractions and other events that Branson offers on a daily basis. She reminds potential Branson visitors that the 4th of July period is one of the busiest times of the year in Branson and suggests planning to arrive at the firework display you want to see at least an hour before dusk and to bring your own chairs etc. For the same reason she also recommends making advance reservations for accommodations and shows and offers the services of the Branson Tourism Center (BTC), one of Branson’s largest and most respected vacation planning services, to provide information on any of these firework displays or on any of Branson’s shows and attractions or lodging through either their toll free number 1-800-785-1550.
