The Duttons are Back on NBC's America's Got Talent
Branson's multi-talented family, The Duttons, are headed back to Los Angeles this week. They have been invited by NBC to appear one more time on the season finale of America's Got Talent, which will air August 21st at 7 PM. The Duttons were among the show's "TOP 10 Finalists" out of thousands of acts across the nation that auditioned and dozens of acts that were actually seen on the show.
The Duttons also announced that they will be making another major network appearance next month. They have been invited to appear on the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. They will be performing "live" on stage in Las Vegas around 7 AM (Central Time) on Labor Day, Monday, September 3rd. The Duttons are pleased to have been invited to share their talents for this very worthwhile cause. Telethon officials mentioned that approximately 30 million viewers will be watching during the hour that The Duttons will play for the fund-raiser.
The family started performing together as a hobby in 1981 and they turned it into a profession in the late 80's and it became a fulltime gig by 1991. They found themselves touring all over as a musical group. The Duttons play all types of music in their concerts from bluegrass to classical. Their music features a variety of instruments including the violin, guitar, bass, viola, banjo, mandolin, keyboard, harmonica and drums, among many more. In addition to their instrumental virtuosity, The Duttons are accomplished singers and dancers. Their shows are self-produced by the family including choreography and musical arrangements.
