Stonitsch & Bledsoe win CPAA Team title at Lake of the Ozarks

March 11th, 2010 by Gary J. Groman

The Central Pro-Am Association (CPAA) held its first Team tournament of the 2010 season on March 7 at the Lake of the Ozarks. Jim Thompson, owner of the CPAA said, “Like the battle for first and second place in the Pro-Am Tournament on March 6, the battle for first and second place in this tournament was also close with only .13 of a pound separating the first and second place teams.

Information received from CPAA indicates that the “fish were biting a little better Sunday than on Saturday.” The first place team of Kevin Stonitsch and John Bledsoe had a five bass limit weighing 19.86 pounds and were fishing a jerk bait around bluff ends. The second place team of Kelly Power and Marty Via had a five bass limit weighing 19.73 pounds and were fishing jerk baits around brush.

The top five finishers in the Team Tournament, by name, number of fish caught, total weight, and winnings are as follows:

1 KEVIN STONITSCH & JOHN BLEDSOE, 5, 19.86, $2,600.00
2 KELLY POWER & MARTY VIA (ALT), 5, 19.73 $2,000.00

4 BOB RICHARDSON & LYNN LUTHER, 5, 18.35, $1,000.00
