Aquarium at the Boardwalk Guinness World Record – Branson has a new Guinness World Record holder! Aquarium at the Boardwalk has officially set the record for the largest Santa hat sculpture, just ahead of the Christmas season.
Aquarius, the Aquarium’s well-known 55-foot-tall octopus sculpture along Highway 76, is now sporting a massive Santa hat that’s hard to miss. Standing 70 feet tall and weighing 300 pounds, the hat had to be lifted 150 feet into the air before being carefully lowered into place. It’s quite the sight and a fun new photo opportunity for anyone visiting Branson this holiday season.
The timing also lines up with the Aquarium’s newest holiday event, Christmas Under the Sea: An Underwater Holiday Shell-E-Bration, which opens November 6 and runs through January 3, 2027.
This new indoor holiday experience features festive underwater displays, a 6D Santa sleigh ride, visits with Santa, and a Christmas Passport adventure for families. Visitors can enjoy the seasonal decorations while exploring the Aquarium’s exhibits, home to sharks, rays, jellyfish, colorful fish, and thousands of other sea creatures.
Between the record-breaking Santa hat outside and the holiday activities inside, Aquarium at the Boardwalk is a fun stop to add to your Branson Christmas plans this year.
