Historic Downtown Branson was the center of activity on Sunday, June 14, as the community gathered to recognize Flag Day and mark America’s 250th anniversary.
A Record Attempt in Downtown Branson
The day started at noon on the top level of the Branson Convention Center Parking Garage, where eager locals and visitors came together for an unforgettable Guinness World Record attempt. With the help of dedicated volunteers, the community successfully assembled a massive 1,400-square-foot flag mosaic made entirely from individual Branson flags.
The energy was electric, and the effort paid off—the world record was officially set! It was a proud moment for the community, beautifully showcasing Branson’s iconic “B” paired with the patriotic star.

Parade and Community Drive
Later in the day, the excitement shifted to the streets for Branson’s first Flag Day Parade. The vibrant procession moved right through Historic Downtown Branson and Branson Landing, drawing crowds of cheering spectators.
Local businesses proudly participated with a spectacular range of patriotic-themed floats, each adding its own creative twist to the celebration. A major highlight of the parade was our very own VW American Flag bus, which definitely turned some heads!

The parade wasn’t just about celebration; it also served a great cause by supporting the “Leftover 4 Locals” food drive. Both participants and attendees pitched in, donating a massive amount of nonperishable food items along the route.
These generous donations were distributed directly to local food pantries and blessing boxes across the Tri-Lakes area, successfully helping replenish vital supplies for families in our community.

The excitement doesn’t stop here! Branson will be celebrating America’s 250th anniversary all year long with a spectacular lineup of special parades, events, and gatherings.
