Say hello to Hollister Pie Company, located at 1933 Maple Street in Hollister, Missouri. You’ll drive down a two-lane road into the quaint neighborhoods of Hollister, Missouri and arrive at the cutest storefront you’ve ever seen! Hollister Pie Company is owned by the Glaser Family, made of Crystal, the Head Baker/Artist, her husband Chad, the Marketing Manager/Company Funny Man, and their kiddos Hunter Jones and Atticus Glaser, the official taste testers of the Pie Company!
Join us in our interview with Crystal Glaser to hear everything about Hollister Pie Company and its amazing mission.
Q: How long have you been in business?
A: The store has been in business since 2017.
Q: So we know the mission behind this pie store is a little special – tell us about what makes your pie store different!
A: Our mission is to help children in our community, and we hope to encourage other businesses to put community first.
Q: What inspired you to start this business?
A: Baking pies has become a lost art. We thought we could make old fashioned pies and at the same time be able to help our kids in the community.
Q: Where do all of your proceeds from your baked goods go to?
A: Multiple donations and places over the last few years. All donations have in some way helped children in the community.
Q: How many kids would you say you’ve been able to help since opening, if you had to estimate?
A: I could not possibly give a number of people we have helped – a lot!
Q: What are your hours, and what can a new customer expect when they come in the doors?
A: The storefront is open every Friday 9AM to 4PM. Through the week, Monday through Friday, we do daily orders and pick up. Holidays always have special hours! When a customer comes in the door, I make sure to treat everyone like they are a part of the Hollister Pie Company.
Q: What is your favorite thing to make in store?
A: Cherry Pie. I love doing design work on pies!
Q: What’s your most requested pie?
A: That’s a tough one. Coconut Cream and Chocolate Cream are tied!
“The bakery is an extension of everyone’s grandparents house. You will find that Pie or dessert grandma made, the coffee grandpa taught you to make, and love that is given by all! When you walk in, we hope to take you to a simpler time and place.”
