“Branson, Missouri is the place to come for family fun,” says Paul Miller, General Manager, for the Branson Tourism Center, Branson’s largest and most respected vacation planning service. “With the kids out of school for Spring Break what better time to plan a quick getaway to Branson for some great family fun?”
“When Silver Dollar City opens its 2010 season on March 18 with its ‘Spring Break Days’ it will also be the beginning of a season long celebration of its 50th birthday,” Miller continued. “It will be a season filled with not only the rides, attractions, entertainment, festivals, and crafts it is famous for, but lots of special ‘50th birthday’ events and activities.”
One of those special events will take place during “Spring Break Days” with the opening of Silver Dollar City’s new $7 million ride, “Tom & Huck’s RiverBlast” which may well be the world’s biggest water fight. In describing the new ride Brad Thomas, Silver Dollar City’s General Manager said, “Riders take a nice little journey along a river channel that we’ve constructed right in the heart of Silver Dollar City, but the twist is there are water guns on the rafts and on the shores. Riders can shoot their water guns at folks on the shore, folks on the shore can shoot their water guns at people on rafts and when you come face to face with another boat you can blast the people on that boat as well. It’s basically this big organized, well maybe not so organized, water fight.”
Miller points out that the “Official Branson.Com List of Attractions,” powered by Branson Tourism Center, indicates that virtually all of Branson’s attractions will be open with a wide variety of attractions that will enable families to share having fun together.” Whether it’s the Amazing Waltzing Waters, Branson’s only aqua theatre; land and water excursions on Ride the Ducks; cruises on the Showboat Branson Belle or Branson Landing Lake Queen; a scenic rail road ride through the Ozarks on the Branson Scenic Railway; visiting one of Branson’s many and varied museums attractions such as the Branson’s Titanic Museum Attraction, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, Branson Auto Museum, Dinosaur Museum; Veterans Memorial Museum or any of Branson’s many other attractions or activities Branson has as fun and entertainment for just about every interest.
Branson’s Titanic Museum Attraction is celebrating two special events during Spring Break its fourth annual “Irish Tribute” honoring the Irish involved with the Titanic and the formal introduction of its two new mascots, “Molly” and “Carter.” Miller said, “The two adorable ‘King Charles Spaniels” should be a big hit with everyone, especially kids and families when they become part of the Titanic experience each day starting on March 19th.”
The “Official Branson.Com Show Schedule,” powered by Branson Tourism Center, indicates that the vast majority of Branson’s shows will be open for the Spring Break providing Branson visitors with a quality, variety and uniqueness of live shows that is unrivaled anywhere. The legendary country music group, “Restless Heart” will share their polished harmonies as they celebrate part of their Silver Anniversary with a limited engagement Branson performances March 18 – 28.
