9th annual Branson event honoring America’s Purple Heart recipients

“The 2017 Branson.Com Honors Purple Heart Recipients marks the 9th annual celebration of this special event,” said, Annette Wood, the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Branson Tourism Center. “This unique event remembers, honors, serves, and entertains those receiving the ‘Purple Heart’ as the result of combat wounds suffered while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.”

“It’s an honor and privilege to work with the Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) for the ninth consecutive year sharing  this event with America’s Purple Heart Recipients,” Wood continued. The 2017 Branson.Com Honors Purple Heart Recipients is in Branson, Missouri, Thursday, April 20 through Saturday, April 22. It’s designed to allow time for the attendees to spend time with one another, experience Branson, and participate in events that honor, entertain and support them. DAY 1: Thursday, April 20 2017

Hospitality Room:
0800 – 2300 (8:00 AM-11:00 PM) – Radisson Hotel (120 Wildwood Drive)

Motorcycle Run:
1000 (10:00 AM) – registration required
Starting Point: Branson’s First Stop located at 220 Branson Hills Pkwy

Mix and Mingle:
1630 (4:30 PM) ) – Starlite Theater (3115 W. Hwy 76)

Opening Ceremony:
1730 (5:30 PM) – Starlite Theater

Texas Tenors
1930 (7:30 PM) – Starlite Theater

DAY 2: Friday, April 21, 2017

Hospitality Room:
0800 – 2300 (8:00 AM-11:00 PM) – Radisson Hotel (120 Wildwood Drive)

Fishing Tournament:
0830 (8:30 AM) Scotty’s Trout Dock.  Please arrive by 0745.- (400 Boxcar Willie Drive) Fishermen will fish for trout on Lake Taneycomo in pontoon boats provided by Scotty’s Trout Dock. All fishing equipment will be provided and all fishing licenses will be waived for Purple Heart Recipients. Space is limited so register now to book your spot. Prizes will be given for 1st through 5th place.

Ladies and Gentlemen Non-Fishing Option:
0900 (9:00 AM) Non-fisherfolk will enjoy a sightseeing cruise aboard the Main Street Lake Cruises.

Early registration is encouraged. Wood points out however, there is no closing time for Purple Hear Recipients to register. “If you are a Purple Heart Recipient, this is your event and we want you there whenever you can register,” she said.
