Jimmy Fortune is an award-winning country singer. He performed with the Statler Brothers for 21 years, and he wrote many of the group's #1 hits, including "Elizabeth," "My Only Love," "Too Much on My Heart," "Forever" and "More Than a Name on the Wall."
Jimmy performed at the White House for President Ronald Reagan and President George H.W. Bush, and he sang "Elizabeth" for Elizabeth Taylor at her birthday celebration. Following the retirement of the Statler Brothers in 2002, Jimmy launched a solo career so that he could continue sharing new songs with fans. He has released several solo CDs and concert DVDs, and he performs regularly as a touring artist. Along with the other members of the Statler Brothers, Jimmy is a member of the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame and the Country Music Association Hall of Fame.
