Ride Requirements
- Riders must be 3 years old AND 38″ tall to ride
- Riders 3-9 must ride with someone 16 years or older
- Riders Must be 54″ tall to Operate the Cart as a Single Driver
- Max Weight for the Cart is 325lbs in Dry Conditions and 280lbs in Wet Conditions
- Alpine Coaster Operates in The Rain, Snow, and Sunshine
- Passengers must be over 38”, from 3-15 years old and maximum of 100 lbs
Attraction Safety
- Driver must be between 54 inches and 84 inches tall (137/213 centimeters)
- Driver must be able to operate brake levers to control the speed of the sled
- Driver must be 16 years or older when piloting sled with passenger
- Passengers must be over 38”, from 3-15 years old and maximum of 100 lbs
- Driver must be at least 54” tall to ride alone.
- Coaster weight cannot exceed 325 lbs in dry conditions and 280 lbs in wet conditions
- Must sign a release of liability waiver
- Participants must obey all posted signs and instructions
- All loose clothing and hair below shoulder length must be secured prior to starting the ride
- No food or gum is allowed on the ride
- Participants must remain seated at all times and keep their arms and legs inside the sled for the duration of the ride
- Driver must maintain at least 80 feet in dry conditions or 160 feet in wet/night conditions between their sled and the sled in front of them on the track, except when entering the unload terminal
- Driver is responsible for controlling the speed, distance between other sleds and stopping at the ?nish
- Stopping on the track is only permitted in the event of an emergency
- No backpacks, phones, hats, video recording devices, cell phones, or bags are allowed on the ride
- All instructions from operating staff must be strictly followed.
- When there are two riders on the sled, the taller person is the driver, and is required to sit in the rear seat of the sled and must keep both hands on the brake lever at all times. The passenger must not obstruct the drivers view and must keep both hands on the front handle at all times.
- You must have upper and lower body control and you must be able to sit upright with your head against the seat back.
- If you have a heart condition, back or neck injuries, are pregnant or if you have an condition that prevents you from following all safety rules and guidelines, you must not ride the Alpine Coaster.
- If you have any questions regarding the operation of this ride or your ability to participate safely, please contact the ride operator before riding. If you have any doubt, no matter now slight, DO NOT ride.

- Children under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
- Must be able to understand and demonstrate knowledge of all safety rules and the course environment to experience the attraction.
- Participating while under the influence of drugs or alcohol is prohibited.
- Ensure that shoes are secure. No flip-flops or open heel shoes. Make sure shoelaces are tied.
- Pockets must be empty. No loose objects such as cell phones or cameras. Eyeglasses should be secure Operators are not responsible for lost or misplaced personal items.
- Follow all operator instructions, posted rule signs and stickers.

- Shepherd of the Hills reserves the right to remove visitors on their park who wear clothing that could create a distraction. Inappropriate or Offensive clothing includes: Clothing displaying offensive messages/language, clothing made with offensive material, (ie transparent), clothing that is excessively torn, clothing which exposes inappropriate portions of the body such as string bikini tops, bikini bottoms, etc. All guests are required to wear shirts and shoes at all times.
