The entertainment synergy in Branson, Missouri is a combination of all of its entertainment options. From outdoor activities such as golf, hunting, fishing, hiking to some of the finest shopping and entertainment available anywhere, Branson has it all. To paraphrase Forrest Gump, “Branson entertainment is like a big box of chocolates, but you can pick what you want.”

Best known as the “Live music show capital of the world,” the “Official Show Schedule of Branson.Com, powered by the Branson Tourism Center, ” indicates a variety and number of live shows unequalled by other destination city of its size in the world. “And it gets even better,” says Paul Miller, the General Manager of the Branson Tourism Center. “To complete its entertainment package, Branson has a full complement and variety of entertainment options for visitors to pick from.”

Citing the area of attractions alone, Miller points out that, in addition to  Silver Dollar City, Branson’s biggest paid attraction celebrating its 50th Anniversary during 2010, there are dozens of other attractions from water parks and miniature golf to helicopter tours, museums of every type and lots in between. Many of Branson’s attractions, including three of its most popular, “Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum,” “Branson’s Titanic Museum Attraction,” and the “Hollywood Wax Museum,” are not weather dependent and are opened year round.

Interestingly, all three are conveniently located on the famed Branson Strip within walking distance of each other. Each has a distinctive appearance and stands out from all else around it. The Titanic Museum, referred to locally, as “the ship,” towering 100 feet above the Branson Strip. “Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum” is located in what may well be one of the most photographed buildings in the world, the “earth quake” building replicating the effects of the 1812 New Madrid, Missouri earthquake. The Hollywood Wax Museum’s distinctive front features its “Wall of Stars” featuring, among others, a giant likeness of “John Wayne” and “Elvis.”

When passengers embark aboard the Titanic they will receive their boarding passes and begin an exciting interactive educational adventure aboard a “Titanic” that was built to approximately one half the size of the original. While aboard the ship they will relive the last fateful hours of the unsinkable ship through talking with the ship’s crew, viewing over 400 personal artifacts, interactive displays and activities and actually walking down an exact replica of its spectacular “Grand Staircase.” Starting in March passengers will also get to meet the Titanic’s new mascots “Carter” and “Molly,” two King Charles Spaniels, that will become a new and exciting part of the Titanic’s visitor experience.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum” provides an amazing opportunity for visitors to view and examine some of the most odd and amazing collections of objects, things, and displays ever assembled. The unique self guided tour covers hundreds of some of the most odd and amazing things from shrunken heads to the world’s tallest man, the world’s biggest ball of twine and, “Believe It Or Not,” a 1982 Cadillac limousine containing a hot tub.

The “Hollywood Wax Museum” provides an opportunity to get “up close and personal with the stars.” See your favorite stars in their most famous scenes, skip down the “Yellow Brick Road, or encounter Frankenstein and Freddy and many others on new sets and through interactive activities including the opportunity to have a photo taken with the gargantuan 40-foot King Kong.
