“Don Williams,” fondly known in the country music industry as the Gentle Giant, comes to Branson with an incredible catalog of fabulous music! His laid-back, almost peaceful style is in stark contrast to his commanding presence, which earned him the Gentle Giant moniker; but there’s nothing low-key about his accomplishments in an industry heavily populated by great artists. His many number one country hits include, You’re My Best Friend, Say It Again, I’m Just a Country Boy, Love Me Over Again, Stay Young, and his catchy fan favorite, Tulsa Time, that earned him the Academy of Country Music’s (ACM) Record of the Year. And speaking of industry accolades, he’s been nominated for a Grammy, five times as Top Male Vocalist by ACM, and five times as Male Vocalist of the year by the Country Music Association (CMA). He received CMA’s Male Vocalist of the Year in 1978. He’s also a treasured member of the Country Music Hall of Fame; an honor that overwhelmed the humble singer.
“Don Williams” has co-starred in two films with Burt Reynolds, and was country music’s first artist to make a concept music video, something he created for his third single, Come Early Morning in 1973. From his first, prize winning, public performance at the tender age of 3, to his sold-out performance at Carnegie Hall in New York, to the first time Branson audiences were treated to the Gentle Giant, “Don Williams,” with his easy going style and astonishing number of hit records, has won the love of fans and music industry folks the world over. Make it a point to see the legendary “Don Williams” for his one-night-only performance in Branson, Missouri!
